Die casting production with plan and precision
You need a component that not only looks good but functions reliably and can be economically produced in series. We convert your components into well-thought-out die casting tools in series. From consultation to final delivery, we accompany your project with technical clarity and real solution competence.
Die casting production explained: How your die cast part is created
In die casting production, liquid aluminum is injected with high pressure into a shaping mold. The result is components with dense structure, defined surface, and precise dimensional accuracy. With short cycle times and high repeatability, the process is ideal for medium to large series.
We also offer aluminum die casting in small series, with orders that no one in Germany wants to take on. We coordinate the entire production with affiliated plants in China and manage your project directly from Germany. This allows us to combine international manufacturing with personal support.
The entire process of die casting production at SBV Stahltechnik
A functioning die casting production is based on planning, experience, and clear communication. We guide you step by step through the process.
Component analysis with a technical perspective
We check your 3D data or drawings and analyze the demouldability, tolerance requirements, and optimization potentials. At this stage, we already clarify whether your part can be optimally implemented in die casting.
Toolmaking with a focus on series capability
The die casting tool is tailored precisely to your component geometry. We define gating, venting, cooling, and demoulding so that the later process runs stably and reproducibly.
Casting with high pressure and technical control
The aluminum is pressed into the mold and individual cavities at high speed. This allows the realization of even delicate structures with high dimensional accuracy. The entire process occurs under strictly regulated conditions.
Removal, deburring, and inspection
After solidification, the component is removed from the mold, deburred, and cleaned. Each part undergoes visual and dimensional inspection before being further processed and packaged.
Mechanical processing and surface finish
If desired, we organize all further processing steps – from drilling to milling to coating. We work with certified partners who meet our quality standards.
Aluminum alloys with a clear function
Not every aluminum alloy is the same. We recommend the appropriate alloy based on load, environment, and processing.
Commonly used alloys:
- AlSi12 for delicate structures and smooth surfaces
- AlSi10Mg for mechanical stress and processing needs

Integrate functions directly into die casting
A major advantage of die casting production is the ability to integrate technical functions during casting. This saves processing time and assembly costs.
Typical integrated functions:
- Drill holes, fitting surfaces, and thread preparations
- Guide grooves, brackets, and fastening elements
- Sealing surfaces, heat transfer surfaces, and reinforcement elements
We check which functions can be sensibly cast and optimize your component for its later application.
